100% Pinot Noir. The Trapet family of Gevrey-Chambertin are among the most reputed in Burgundy. They grow "Organic" grapes under the theory of bio-dynamic farming. They have been producing wines from their grand estate in Gevrey Chambertin for seven generations. The estate is made up of 13 hectares of vineyards including many parcels of the finest Grand Cru and Premier Cru of the appellation. The vineyards have been planted as far back as 1919. Annual production in their cellars on the main road through Gevrey Chambertin is only about 60,000 bottles per year. These winemakers are producing some of the most delicious Burgundy to be found. Very Limited production. This wine can be stored for many years, and is drinkable now. The 2012 Vintage is one of the finest they have produced in decades.
