50% MERLOT, 25% CABERNET SAUVIGNON, 25% MALBEC. The beginning
of Malbec's entry into Bordeaux Wines in a larger percentage
of the blend. This is a very old property -- XVth Century once
owned by the Archbishop of Bordeaux. It changed hands in 2009.
The new owners have made a splash with their 2009 Vintage,
using their Malbec vines from the old vineyards which are still
present in Bordeaux. From a dense purple to purplish
reflection. The 2009 is characterized mainly by its
bouquet of ripe black fruits. Rather sharp from the attack,
but balanced and well structured, the palate shows in the
finale as little nervous tannins that require about one
year of patience to drink at it's best, but very drinkable
now. This wine is worth twice or more than the price we
are selling it for. A BARGAIN for a great underrated wine!
Decanting this wine for an hour or so will smooth it out
