Chateau du Glana has recently revived itself with
starting with the winemaker; Professor Denis Dubourdieu
who brings all his experience to the Chateau for
winemaking. His expertise brings vine pest management,
manual harvesting, temperature-controlled fermentation,
Aging 12 months in oak barrels of which nearly half are
renewed each year to the making of this wine. This marriage
of traditional and modern technical methods resultes in a
constant improvement in the quality of this wine.
The 2011 matches or exeeds the great 2010 vintage.
Chateau Du Glana offers balanced and complex wines, which
can be appreciated young or after ten years. The property
produces around 115,000 bottles a year of Château Du Glana.
Medium bodied, soft, already approachable with its open,
black cherry, earth, red plum, oak and tobacco profile.
This is a nice example of a Left Bank value wine.
