is the reward for everyone who works in the vineyard all year long and who are happy
to see that it will be a great vintage.
vine is so beautiful because there is water available on the ground, sun during
the day and nights relatively cool.
veraison begins on August 3 and August 4, a rain of 10 mm is profitable for the
vine. But, unfortunately, we will no longer have rain and the water stress will
gradually appear until becoming worrying at the beginning of September.
year, the cycle of the vine was very long and the weather conditions
for the harvest, an exceptionally favorable weather allowed us to wait to
harvest ripe grapes and in exceptional health condition.
an Indian summer allowed us to wait for a long time that the grapes ripen
thanks to the alternation of sunny days and cool nights. (Harvest Merlots from
October 3 and Cabernets Sauvignons from October 17)
burst was early (mid-March) after a very wet start to the year and a cold
wait is still long to reach the phenolic maturity but, patiently, we get it
after many tastings of berries in the vineyard of Monbrison cradled with sun
... which were excellent moments, because we perceived day after day that we
were going to a new great vintage..
