SAINT EMILION GRAND CRU - GRAND CRU CLASSÉ AOC -
CHATEAU LA PRIEURE 2015. 75% Merlot,25% Cabernet Franc.
Top of the Top in Saint Emilions, this highly sought after
wine is complex, smooth and velvety. The assemblage
(blend of the 2 grape varieties) favors the oldest Merlot
vines and Cabernet Franc. The aging is conducted in
French oak barrels for 14 to 18 months in a cellar dug
into the rock. The use of sulphites is reduced to a minimum.
Grand Cru Classé, wine is developed with the aim of
accurately translating the magnificent terroir: on the
limestone plateau to the finesse elegance and the clay
side for power and structure. The bouquet is rich in
floral with mineral notes. The mouth is marked by red
fruits and spices.
The average annual production is approximately 15-20,000 bottles. 2015 Production was only 17,388 bottles
