Beaumont : 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot
fruit, notes of black cherry, mocha, tobacco, oak, and capsicum. – more class
than expected, and will show very well. The best Beaumont so far. Great intensity. Very deep color with garnet reflections. The nose is very open
and inviting with soft oaky notes
of vanilla and spice bringing out the red fruits such as blackcurrant and black
The attack on the palate is smooth and fresh. The tannic development is of
great quality, with fatness giving real mouthfeel. The lightly oaked fruit
aromas are very elegant and contribute to the fine aromatic persistence. 90
points ! With some age this will be even higher. Drinkable now but will be much
more enjoyable in 5-10 years.
Tastes more expensive than it is.
