100% Pinot Noir - Côte-de-Nuits-Villages. From villages
located in the northern and southern parts of the Côte de
Nuits. The grapes mainly come from vineyards located around
the villages of Brochon (the village adjacent to
Gevrey-Chambertin) and Corgoloin-Comblanchien (next to
Tasting Albert Bichot’s Côte de Nuits Village has
a pleasing, fruity nose typical of Pinot Noir with
slightly smoky undertones. The palate is well structured
with supple, well-integrated tannins, which combine
nicely with the red currant and raspberry flavors that
are followed by a hint of licorice.
This Côte de Nuits-Villages can accompany meat cooked in
sauce - especially red wine sauces - as well as game and
mild to medium cheeses. Serve between 16 and 17°C (60°F - 63°F)
This wine may be enjoyed now or cellared for 3 to 5 years or more.
