Bordeaux, with the smoothness
and roundness of a fine Mersault Burgundy with much more
complexity because of the blend of grapes - 80% Sauvignon,
20% Sémillon and Oak Barrel aging, Dry, yet full bodied
White wine, very full in the mouth.
Pessac-Leognan’s Graves - white wines are made
predominantly from Sauvignon Blanc (a required minimum
of 25% By French Law to be able to be Labeled "Bordeaux")
and Semillon grapes, and are matured in oak for
greater complexity. The 2014 has a bit more buttery oak
character than the fabulous 2012.
These white varieties thrive on the sandier soils of the
appellation and produce more age-worthy wines than any
other part of the world. Elsewhere, blends of Sauvignon
Blanc and Semillon are best consumed within two years of
harvest; in contrast, the best white wines of
Pessac-Leognan can develop in bottle for well over a

Pessac-Léognan - Graves 2014 is very good, with more
‘liveliness’ than the average vintage.
