The famous Chateau Tourmilon is one of the best Graves to
be found in Bordeaux. They produce a rather small quantity,
but we managed to obtain some of this excellent 2007
vintage at an excellent price. 2007 is the best vintage
between 2005 and 2009. It is Perfectly drinkable now, or
can be "put down" for many years. Delicious, round and
Tannic with good fruit, Oak and a lasting mouth. The
blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10%
Cabernet Franc. An interesting tasting would be this and
a 2009 Petit Tourmilon, the "2nd" Wine of this famous
Chateau. A great wine for those seeking More Cab in their
wine.

This is the 2nd wine of the famous Chateau Tourmilon, one
of the best Graves to be found in Bordeaux. The "Main" Chateau
of this wine produces a rather small quantity and we
managed to obtain some of the excellent 2004 vintage, but
this 2nd label being a 2009 is almost as good at a
significantly lesser price. I find it full wine, strong on
tannins and red fruit notes. The blend is 42% Cabernet Sauvignon,
53% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc.

recent tasting, I found it a very
close mark to the Chateau de France, Oaky, Tannic, and
full bodied, this is an excellent Bordeaux in a moderate
price range. Best decanted for two to three hours before
serving to bring out the full bodied Graves character.
Goes great with Duck, and all red meats. A little young,
but ready to drink or put aside for years to come.
This wine will age beautifully. As this is a younger
Graves, longer breathing time of 2 to 3 hours makes this a
great "drink now" Bordeaux.

hard to find discoveries of small Bordeaux vineyards. This
smooth delicioius fleshy Red is just alongside the St.
Emillion region. It is made by a passionate man,
Mr.Philippe Bardet who believes in respecting the Biomass.
The vines are fertilized only with compost, and the grapes
picked at the last possible moment to insure full taste
development, and hand sorted to assure only quality grapes
go into the wine. Ripe berry fruit, blakcurrents and violets
are predominent. Drink with grilled red meats, duck, lamb,
chicken and enjoy with medium strong cheeses. A pure delight!

Prieur de Meyney is the second wine from Château Meyney,
which was known in the 18th century as Prieuré des Couleys.
Made with the same care as the first wine, and using a
similar blend, it comes from the younger vines on the
estate. These have an average age of 15/20 years. Cabernet
Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot grapes
are used in this blend. Since its creation with the 1979
vintage, the team has had time to refine this wine that
owes a lot to its senior partner: intense aromas on the
nose, with deep fruit flavors that show the ripeness of
the grapes. It is an elegant and supple Saint Estephe,
more forward than its big brother, yet built to pass the
test of time. 2005 Was a great year for Bordeaux. This
wine will keep for 25 or more years if properly stored.

Chateau. In a blind tasting I found this to be almost a
perfect match to the Grand Chateau at about 1/3 of the
price. The 2007 vintage is ready to drink now. Delicious
full bodied Bordeaux in the tradition of great Pauillacs.
The name "Prélude" states the ambition of this second wine:
provide a true introduction to the "Grand Vin". It is made

Winner of the 2006 Gold Medal at the "Bordeaux Vins de
Aquitane" competition. The vines are grown on very
gravelly soil to produce a generous concentrated wine.
A true "Grand Cru" made by Philippe Bardet, a decended
from a long line of winemakers. He is passionate about
natural growing methods and uses only compost as
fertilizer. The grapes are hand selected, and the wine
aged in Oak barells to give this delicious wine a
complex bouquet reminisscent of very ripe black and
red fruit with hints of candied red fruit and liquorice
flavors. Well structured, full bodied, long aftertaste,
and rich on the palate with smooth tannins.
This wine will age beautifully, and is a "drink now"
